Accreditations and Awards

Recognition and credentials that demonstrate quality and excellence

Accreditations

1) Taiwanese operating license (March 24, 2023): TCS Experimental Education states it received its Taiwanese operating license, indicating official regulatory authorization to operate as a school in Taiwan.
2) British Columbia Ministry of Education – BC Offshore Program: The High School Program is run in cooperation with the Canadian Ministry of Education of British Columbia, and students receive dual diplomas from the New Taipei City Education Bureau and the BC Ministry of Education. This reflects formal collaboration with BC's education authority.
3) National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU) collaboration: The Middle School program is jointly developed with NTNU, with NTNU professors contributing to curriculum development under the Jenaplan framework.
4) College Board (US) Registered School: The site notes the school is a College Board (US) Registered School, indicating alignment with College Board programs and recognition.
5) Unique status as BC Offshore Program provider in Taiwan: The Welcome Message identifies TCS as the only provider of the British Columbia Offshore Program in Taiwan, highlighting a distinctive accreditation-like status within the country.

Awards and Recognition

2) Awards: The school's site does not publish a dedicated list of school-wide awards for the past five years. Public-facing sections such as News & Press focus on events, partnerships, and community activities rather than awarded recognitions. For example, the News & Press pages highlight coverage of events (e.g., Shoebox charity drive, Terry Fox Run) rather than awards.

TCS Experimental Education is a middle school and high school located on the NTNU Linkou campus in New Taipei City, Taiwan. The school sits on the National Taiwan Normal University Linkou campus, about 17 km from downtown Taipei, and shares facilities such as a 500-seat auditorium, biology and chemistry labs, and a large library. The High School program is run in cooperation with the Canadian Ministry of Education (British Columbia) and offers a dual diploma from the Taiwanese education authorities and BC, while the Middle School program is developed with NTNU based on the Jenaplan philosophy, combining inquiry-based learning with Friday experiential activities. The site emphasizes a bilingual learning environment, and its facilities include modern classrooms, extensive IT infrastructure, and access to NTNU's broader campus resources and spaces. This combination supports project-based, experiential learning across both school stages.
