Academic and Intellectual

Gr.7 Student Debates in Language Arts Class occurred as language-arts enrichment. YIA students won an award at the 32nd Ergonomics Society of Taiwan's Annual Conference, including Best Oral Presentation. Seventeen American college and university representatives visited YIA for the Fall 2025 college fair. The Class of 2025 included 54 graduates from grades 6, 9, and 12 who were admitted to domestic and international universities.

Arts and Creative

YIA hosts music performances, including the YIA Music Concert in 2023. The school runs an After School – Creative Arts Program that supports visual arts and performing arts. The course listings also reference Visual Arts and related creative experiences.

Cultural and Language

Cross-cultural experiences include the Konomiyaki Party. The Spanish language course includes a Spanish cuisine experience. A French Catholic education delegation visited YIA for two weeks of cultural exchange and learning activities.

Social and Hobbies

After School – Creative Arts Program and After School – Soccer Program are offered as extracurricular options. These programs support creative pursuits and physical activity outside regular class time.

Community and Service

Shoes for Life was initiated in 2023, raising 125 donated shoes through a project-based learning theme focused on sharing and environmental stewardship. The activity integrates character education with service-learning objectives.

Leadership and Professional

Seventeen American college and university representatives visited YIA for a fall 2025 college fair. The Class of 2025 includes 54 graduates who completed requirements and gained admissions to domestic and international universities. International visitors also engage with students, including ambassadors from Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and Saint Lucia.

Lifestyle and Wellbeing

Athletic programs include basketball and volleyball; UBA top league team members visited YIA for coaching. The Taoyuan Leopards Pro Volleyball Team also visited YIA for student interaction. The YIA Volleyball Club participated in the 2025 Taoyuan City Mayor's Cup.

Yoder International Academy (YIA) is an experimental education institution established in August 2019 in Zhongli District, Taoyuan City, Taiwan. It serves students in Grades 6–12 and is accredited by the Taoyuan City Ministry of Education and Cognia, the international accreditation body. The school's US-based middle and high school program is integrated with Taiwan's education framework, with major courses taught in English by teachers from Canada, South Africa, the United Kingdom, and the United States. The campus is located at 225 Changchun 1st Street, Zhongli District. In addition to core academics, YIA offers cross-cultural experiences, science-related courses, and a range of clubs and service activities, including a Volleyball Club, a Music Festival, and community service initiatives such as Shoes for Life. The school provides college guidance and hosts university visits and guest speakers. The institution maintains dual accreditation from Taiwan and the USA.
