Thai is taught as a First Language and Thai as a Second Language; Japanese is taught as a First Language; Spanish, French and Mandarin are taught as Second Languages. Thai language is required by the Ministry of Education for Thai nationals. From Year 1 to Year 6, students study one World Language; Year 7 to Year 9, two World Languages; Year 10 to Year 11, one World Language taken at IGCSE with an option to take two; Year 12 to Year 13, World Languages are optional. If EAL is required in Year 7-9, a World Language is dropped and replaced by EAL until Year 10.
Immersion language learning occurs in Early Years with Thai language instruction and Thai culture sessions. The program is supervised by native English teachers and Thai-speaking teaching assistants, and students immerse in language acquisition through the immersion method. This immersion approach prepares learners for participation in an international community.
