Brighton College Bangkok Vibhavadi is the second international campus opened by Brighton College in Bangkok, following the establishment of the Krungthep Kreetha campus in 2016. The Vibhavadi site reflects the continued growth of Brighton College’s international network, which extends from the UK to several locations worldwide. The school is part of the Brighton College family of schools, which originated in Brighton, England, in 1845. Its ownership structure combines the educational leadership of Brighton College UK with local partnerships, ensuring alignment with the ethos and traditions of the original school while adapting to the context of Bangkok. The founding of the Vibhavadi campus is intended to extend access to the Brighton College approach to education for families in a different part of the city.
The school community is made up of pupils, families, and staff who regularly take part in a variety of events and cultural celebrations. These include charitable initiatives such as book swaps, bake sales, volunteering in hospitals, and community outreach programmes supporting disadvantaged groups. Annual festivities and holiday events also bring families together, encouraging parent participation and fostering connections across the school community.
The school does not mention having a formal Parent Teacher Association (PTA). However, parents are regularly involved in the wider school community through events and celebrations. Open Houses, cultural festivals, and performances are examples where families are invited to participate, engage with staff, and celebrate student achievements. These occasions provide opportunities for parents to connect with teachers and the school community, even though they are not framed as PTA-run activities.
