British Columbia International School Bangkok was officially opened on September 3, 2007. It holds the distinction of being the first international school in Southeast Asia to offer the full British Columbia curriculum. Accredited by both the Ministry of Education of British Columbia and the Thai Ministry of Education, BCISB provides students with a dual-diploma opportunity. Over the years, the school has grown into a well-established educational institution with a strong academic framework and modern facilities.
With over 1,300 students and 350 staff across its programs, the school prides itself on fostering creativity, independence, and cultural appreciation. Students from a variety of backgrounds are encouraged to share their perspectives, creating a globally minded school culture.
The school does not have a Parent Teacher Association.
Established in 2007, BCISB is the first and only school in Thailand offering the British Columbia (Canada) curriculum, accredited by both the BC Ministry of Education and the Thai Ministry of Education. Students graduate with the Dogwood Diploma, a Canadian high school qualification, and can also earn a Thai high school equivalency. The school emphasizes inquiry-based learning, critical thinking, and global citizenship. BCISB’s campus includes modern classrooms, science and IT labs, a music and drama studio, art room, swimming pool, gymnasium, and outdoor sports areas.
