The British Early Years Centre (BEYC) was founded in 2011 by two experienced educators with backgrounds in early childhood education in the UK and Asia. It was established as an independent, privately owned school specialising in early years learning. Over time, BEYC has developed a blended approach combining the British Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework with the Reggio Emilia philosophy. In September 2025, the school will relocate to a newly designed campus on Soi Santi Suk in Bangkok’s Phaya Thai district to expand facilities while maintaining its early years focus.
BEYC fosters a small, close-knit school community centred around strong relationships between children, families, and staff. The school hosts events that involve parents directly in their children’s learning, such as project showcases and family workshops. Cultural awareness is integrated into the curriculum, with celebrations and activities linked to Thai traditions and international observances.
BEYC does not have a formally named Parent Teacher Association; however, parents are considered active partners in learning. The school encourages regular informal communication with teachers and welcomes parent participation in classroom activities and curriculum-linked events. Parents may attend meetings to discuss their child’s progress as often as desired, and they are invited to contribute to project work or support activities such as reading with children. The school also encourages parental involvement in specific learning areas, including phonics, mathematics, and Thai language, with guidance from teachers to ensure consistency. While not structured as a PTA, this ongoing collaboration functions as an informal parent–teacher network.

Small classes of 16 children are supported by four adults (a 1:4 ratio), offering individualised attention. The school prioritises health and sustainability—serving **100% organic meals**, using natural cleaning products, featuring a salt-water pool, and balancing indoor/outdoor playtime. Accepting children aged **2 to 6 years**, BEYC runs Monday–Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., with early drop-off and late pick-up options. The 2025 move marks an exciting expansion, with new facilities designed to enhance creative play, environmental learning, and community connections in the early years.
