Parent Experience

Community, involvement and what it's like to be a parent at this school

History

Founded in 1999, Garden International School Bangkok is privately owned by MBF Taylors Ltd Education Group, which also operates campuses in Malaysia and Rayong, Thailand. Its Sathorn campus was established before the current high‑rises, making it one of the earliest international schools in that neighbourhood.

Community

The school hosts cultural celebrations, such as Songkran and Loy Krathong, as part of its academic calendar, alongside international student leadership events and house competitions. The Garden Community Group (GCG) brings together over 40 nationalities of families for social gatherings, welcome events, and shared activities.

Parent-Teacher Association

The Garden Community Group (GCG) comprises parents and teachers collaborating on school developments and event planning. It organizes a variety of social events, including welcome receptions for new families and seasonal celebrations. Regular meetings invite parent feedback and updates on school life. The group supports broader school initiatives, such as cultural festivals and charity activities, and encourages parent involvement.
