Greenacre International School was founded by Dara Nagle, Lindsey Archbold, and Viroj Junthong after the closure of a nearby school created a gap in Koh Samui’s education provision. The campus is described as a 7.5-rai natural site in the south of Koh Samui. The school's facilities are organised into five areas: administration, Foundation Stage, Primary, Secondary, and sports facilities.
The school highlights engagement with the local Thai community and an emphasis on respect for Thai values and culture on its Community page. Throughout the year, students take part in field trips, themed days, music and drama productions, community projects, fundraising events, house challenges, and sporting competitions. These activities are designed to celebrate students’ personal progress and strengthen ties between school and family.
The school’s public website does not publish details of a Parent Teacher Association (PTA), such as committee structure, meeting schedules, or named parent groups. While the school states it works with parents and carers as part of its values, no formal PTA information, calendar, or governance descriptions are provided online.
Greenacre International School is situated in the Na Mueang area on southern Koh Samui, Thailand, surrounded by lush greenery and close to waterfalls. The school welcomes children from age 3 through to 16 and offers education following the English National Curriculum, including IGCSEs as a certified Pearson Edexcel Examinations Centre. It operates as a co‑educational day school and provides a transport service collecting students from Big C Chaweng and en route locations. Built on a 7.5‑rai natural campus with outdoor classrooms and gardens, the school integrates environmental awareness into its teaching, aiming to foster sustainability and compassion through learning in nature. Typical class sizes are described as average, and students benefit from facilities such as a library, ICT room, science lab, and swimming pool. Clubs include chess, art, an environmental group, and creative Thai, supporting intellectual, creative, social, and service interests
