International Community School (ICS) began in August 1993, when a group of Christian expatriate families and the Network of International Christian Schools established a cooperative that evolved into the school’s first campus in Sathorn, welcoming around 120 students. The school was later transferred into the ownership of the not‑for‑profit ICS Educational Foundation. In 2004, with key support from families and board members, ICS opened its Bang Na campus, which remains the main location today.
ICS fosters a community built around character development, service, and shared values. Annual Serving and Learning Together (SALT) trips enable secondary students to serve communities across Thailand in partnership with organizations like Habitat for Humanity, combining service with regional learning experiences. Within the school, Student Ministries, Student Council, and LifeGroups provide opportunities for fellowship and leadership rooted in a Christian framework.
The Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) supports the school by organizing a variety of activities and services, including the annual ICS Got Talent show, school-wide gatherings, and the high school banquet, all aimed at enriching students’ educational and extracurricular experiences. Parents and teachers are encouraged to attend the monthly meetings and get involved in students' school life.
International Community School Bangkok (ICS) is a non-profit American Christian international school, established in 1993 and opened its current Bang Na campus in September 2004. It serves students aged 4 to 18 (Pre‑K through Grade 12) in a co‑educational setting. The school follows an American curriculum with a strong focus on Advanced Placement (AP) courses and preparing students for college in the US and beyond. ICS requires all secondary students to complete 40 hours of personal community service plus participate in annual SALT serving trips across Thailand, forming part of its signature capstone programs. Facilities listed on the site include modern science laboratories, media centers, and computer labs, supplemented by an athletics complex and fields.
