Wellbeing and Support

How students are nurtured, understood, and kept safe

Social and Emotional Learning (SEL)

ISP encourages environmental responsibility and community awareness as part of its approach to student development. Younger students participate in activities such as upcycling materials for craft projects and growing vegetables on-site, which help foster a sense of care for the environment and shared responsibility. These experiences are designed to support the development of empathy, responsibility, and an awareness of global citizenship. The school frames this approach as part of helping students understand their role as custodians of the planet.

No specific SEL programme, curriculum, or dedicated staff roles are detailed on the school’s website.

The International School of Phuket (ISP), established in 2008, offers the Cambridge International curriculum for students aged 5 to 14. Located in Rawai, southern Phuket, the campus spans 5 rai of tropical greenery and features outdoor classrooms, sports courts, and creative arts spaces. Classes are intentionally small—averaging 15 students—to foster individualized attention. Instruction is in English, with Thai and Russian offered as additional languages. ISP is known for its nature-inspired learning environment and its strong emphasis on environmental education, with sustainability initiatives integrated into both curriculum and campus life. A key highlight is their eco-club and outdoor programs, which make full use of Phuket’s natural setting. Students also benefit from a wide range of extracurriculars, including muay thai, swimming, drawing, and drama. The school offers a GPS-tracked bus service across key areas in southern Phuket, ensuring safe transport from Monday to Friday. ISP is a co-educational, day school with no boarding.
