Parent Experience

Community, involvement and what it's like to be a parent at this school

History

Kevalee International School was founded in 1996 as a home-based international kindergarten by Mrs. Juliana Kevalee (with over 40 years of experience, including 30 years at Ruamrudee International School). In 2006, it expanded to include Grades 1–12 and opened a new campus on Hathairaj 37 Road in Khlong Sam Wa to accommodate the growth .

Community

The school celebrates several community and cultural events, including Sports Day, the Kevalee Fair featuring student displays, and an International Day for cultural celebration .

Parent-Teacher Association

Kevalee’s Kevalee Parent Association (KPA) works to strengthen relations between home and school, organize activities involving families and staff, raise funds for specific school enhancements, and provide a platform for parents to contribute to school development matters.

Kevalee International School, located in a peaceful suburb of Bangkok, serves students from approximately 2½ to 18 years old and follows a modified American-style curriculum with a multicultural focus. English is the language of instruction, and Thai language and culture are taught across all grade levels. Small class sizes allow for close teacher–student interaction. The school is licensed by Thailand’s Ministry of Education and accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) in the USA. Facilities include a library, canteen, and sports areas, with access to a school van service for transportation. Distinctive programs include the “Trash to Cash” recycling initiative, where students sort recyclables, which are later sold to support community service projects. Annual traditions such as Sports Day, the Kevalee Fair showcasing student projects, and cultural celebrations like International Day encourage participation beyond the classroom.
