Wellbeing and Support

How students are nurtured, understood, and kept safe

Social and Emotional Learning (SEL)

A weekly advisory session is held for all students, focusing on personal development, social skills, and group bonding. These sessions are led by teachers and staff from Student Services. Students can also meet individually or in small groups with the counselor to discuss personal or social challenges.

Special Educational Needs (SEN)

The school does not have a dedicated SEN programme.

English as an Additional Language (EAL)

The school does not have publicly available information on their EAL support.

Mental Wellbeing

Short-term counseling is available to help students manage personal concerns that affect learning. The school involves parents when needed and may refer students to external professionals for longer-term care. Workshops for parents on communication and adolescent wellbeing are occasionally offered.

Safeguarding

KMIDS has a clearly defined child safeguarding policy in place. The school has established a safeguarding team responsible for ensuring student safety and responding to any concerns raised by staff or students. Staff are expected to report suspected cases of harm or abuse, and they receive training to help them recognize early signs of concern. The school’s procedures are aligned with the Thai Child Protection Act and international conventions. KMIDS also outlines expectations for appropriate conduct between staff and students, including supervision during one-on-one meetings and appropriate boundaries in communication and physical contact. Security protocols for campus visitors are also part of the policy to maintain a controlled and safe environment.
