Lovell International School was founded by Ms Pattamon Mekavarakul, who previously built and operated the Cape Dara Resort in Pattaya. Inspired by observations during the COVID‑19 pandemic and a desire to nurture young children’s emotional resilience, she launched the school project in 2021, with the official opening following in August 2023. The school is independently owned and operates as a privately run international early years and primary institution rooted in the founding vision of combining nature, compassion, and inquiry-led learning.
The school community revolves around collaborative activities and environmental projects that involve students, teachers, and parents informally. Families are invited to engage with learning through shared facilities such as the family library and cooking studio, and through classroom projects like creating a frog pond or tending the herb garden. Cultural and environmental learning projects often bring together the entire community, fostering interaction between children and their parents in creative and nature‑based initiative.
The school’s website does not provide information on a formal PTA. There is no public record of structured parent‑teacher committees, scheduled meetings, or organised events under a PTA framework. While parents are encouraged to participate in community activities and support their children’s learning, formalised PTA activities are not disclosed online.
Lovell International School opened in August 2023 in North Pattaya, offering education from Pre‑Nursery (age 2) to Year 4 (approx. age 10). The school combines the British EYFS and Key Stage curriculum (up to Year 4) with a Reggio Emilia approach, guiding child‑led, inquiry‑based learning. The campus is designed around existing mature trees, with separate wings for different age groups, shaded courtyards, a chicken coop, bug hotel, splash pool, and climbing tunnels woven among greenery. Class sizes remain small—with early years ratios around 1:4 and primary around 1:8, averaging a 1:2 ratio across all levels. All instruction is in English, led by qualified, native‑speaking teachers. Facilities include an art studio, cooking studio, family library, gym/dance studio, and swim lessons in a splash pool. Lovell emphasises executive function development, project-based inquiry grounded in nature, and creative arts. It stands out for its forest-school style campus, where every child learns through exploration, gardening, cooking, and sensory-rich play in a treehouse-inspired environment
