MISB was established in 1997 as a private coeducational school serving both expatriate and local families in Bangkok with the British National Curriculum from Nursery through Year 13. It has since grown to enroll around 550 students from approximately 22 different nations. The school also honors spiritual founder Sri Satguru Jagjit Singh Ji with lasting recognition of his contributions to its vision.
MISB hosts a multicultural community with over 400 students from a wide range of nationalities. Modern's environment brings together expatriate and local families through events, collaborative learning, and cross-cultural interactions.
The school does not have an official PTA.
Modern International School Bangkok is a co-educational day school offering the British National Curriculum from Nursery to Year 13. Students are prepared for Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level examinations in secondary years, with standard assessments at earlier stages. Facilities include science laboratories, ICT rooms, art and music studios, a library, a multipurpose auditorium, outdoor sports courts, and a swimming pool. The school also has a cafeteria and provides transport services through an outsourced provider.
