PBISS bases its curriculum on Cambridge International Standards, tailored with a STEM+ integration across all levels to support learning in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics alongside core disciplines. In the Primary School (ages 5–11), the Cambridge x STEM+ curriculum develops skills in English, Mathematics, Science, and beyond with specific learning objectives for each year. In the final four years, the Secondary stages, students follow Cambridge IGCSE and International A‑Level courses. Throughout all stages, lessons include core subjects such as English, mathematics, science, and humanities alongside creative subjects like music, design, art, and drama. This structure offers a coherent progression from early years through to pre-university qualifications, grounded in Cambridge frameworks and enriched by hands-on STEM components.
PBISS International School on Koh Samui began in 2005 and teaches students aged 2 to 18, following the Cambridge International Standards blended with a STEM+ approach, meaning science, technology, engineering, and math are built into every stage. The campus hosts a STEM+ Innovation Centre, a hub where students work on hands-on projects like 3D printing, laser cutting, and vinyl crafting, and even participate in events like the Theme Park Challenge alongside a STEM Expo. In the youngest years, children engage in activities such as robotics, hydroponic gardening, and even a STEM Farm, alongside learning with tools like balance bikes and Lego tables. Secondary learners move into Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level courses under a “Learning to Mastery” philosophy that emphasises thinking and creation, not mere memorisation.
