Raintree Sathorn is a purpose-built early years campus designed to inspire learning in a green environment. The building curves around raintrees to create two inner courtyards, with natural daylight in all classrooms and floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors that connect indoors to covered patios and outdoor spaces. The environment is regarded as the third teacher, and the design integrates indoor and outdoor spaces to support exploration and physical development.
The campus provides an Indoor Gym and a Climbing Wall for physical activities.
Library i is designed for structured exploration and reading, with spaces that extend outdoors. The Sensory Studio i offers immersive multimedia experiences to support learning, while the Exploration Studio provides space for inquiry. The Well-being Room and Community Lounge support holistic development and social learning, and classrooms benefit from natural daylight and direct connections to outdoor spaces.
Sand Play Area, Green Garden with large trees, Water Play Station, Organic Farm Area, Tree House, Climbing Wall, Exploration Studio, and Cooking Studio provide spaces for hands-on, experiential activities beyond core lessons.
Raintree International School Sathorn, opened in August 2017, offers early years education for children aged 1.5–6 years in central Bangkok’s leafy Sathorn district. It follows the British Early Years Foundation Stage linked with a Reggio Emilia‑inspired teaching philosophy focused on child‑led exploration within a multilingual setting. Instruction is primarily in English, with co‑taught Mandarin and Thai language and culture lessons. Nursery classes are intentionally small (12–15 children) and staffed by a teacher and multiple assistants, supporting individual observation and documentation. The campus surrounds mature trees in two inner courtyards, encouraging outdoor learning amid Bangkok’s urban core. The school is known for its nature‑integrated learning spaces, creative arts opportunities rooted in Reggio Emilia pedagogy, and strong language‑rich immersion that supports early bilingual development.
