Saint John Mary International School was established in 2004. The school is privately owned and operates under the license of the Thai Ministry of Education. It later obtained international accreditation through WASC (Western Association of Schools and Colleges), which recognizes schools that meet US-based educational standards. Over the years, SJMIS has expanded to offer education from Nursery through Grade 12 and has developed facilities to support academics, sports, and extracurricular programs.
The school community places emphasis on cultural and service-oriented activities. Students regularly take part in community service projects, such as temple cleaning and tree planting, which build links with the wider Saraburi community. Annual cultural celebrations, including International Day and Thai national holidays like Father’s Day merit-making ceremonies, bring together students, parents, and teachers in shared traditions.
Parent Teacher Association (PTA)
The school maintains an active partnership with parents through its PTA. Parents are often involved in organizing and supporting school-wide celebrations, such as International Day, where families contribute food and cultural displays. During community service events, parents also participate alongside students, strengthening the school’s connection with the local area. The PTA helps coordinate volunteer opportunities and provides assistance for extracurricular and cultural programs. Through these activities, the PTA contributes to a collaborative environment where families play a direct role in enriching the student experience.
