The enrichment programme at St. Stephen's Khao Yai spans sports, music, drama, languages, science and robotics. The after‑school activity timetable runs Monday to Thursday from 15:30 to 16:20 for all year groups from Nursery to Year 13, with some activities also offered on Friday for certain groups. Boarding students participate in the after‑school programme from Monday to Thursday. The Duke of Edinburgh International Award is part of the programme, with students designing their own award plans and recording progress in an online record book, and levels including Bronze and Silver.
The Performing Arts programme includes an Instrumental Programme with Thai dancing, a wide range of instruments, and opportunities for whole‑school productions. After‑school music lessons run generally from 15:00 to 17:30, with both individual and group options, and learners may pursue Trinity Music Grade Examinations. The school hosts regular Music Assemblies and Talent Shows, and produces plays and musicals ranging from school‑wide productions to secondary student performances, with titles such as Oliver, The Tempest, A Christmas Carol and An Inspector Calls.
The enrichment programme includes languages as a core area, alongside sports, music, drama and other activities. Thai and Mandarin languages are taught by specialist teachers, complementing the broader international curriculum context.
The after‑school enrichment programme runs daily for most year groups, and Boarding students participate from Monday to Thursday. Students are encouraged to engage in at least two activities per term, with many choosing more, including social and collaborative activities through clubs and teams. The Houses system and a range of events (including sports and performing arts activities) provide social and competitive opportunities, and students also benefit from trips and informal inter‑school activities.
Community service is embedded in the curriculum and enrichment activities, with each House adopting a long‑term charity to support. Examples include the Downs Syndrome Charity (Dragon House), the Home for Handicapped Animals Foundation (Erawan House) and CUREUsher (Garuda House); activities include annual events such as the Odd Socks Event and a sponsored swim, as well as school visits to the local School for the Blind and joint environmental projects with local partners. Boarding students operate a school shop and participate in service and charity activities that benefit the wider community.
The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award is offered at Bronze (Year 10+) and Silver (Year 11+), comprising four elements: Service, Skills, Physical Recreation and Adventurous Journey. Participants design their own programme, set goals, and log progress in an online record book, developing leadership, resilience and goal‑setting skills.
Sport is available year‑round with tournaments in basketball, football and volleyball, FOBISIA participation, school sports days and house events such as a Fun Run, Sports Day and Swimming Gala. The enrichment programme provides sport coaching and a broad range of physical activities, and boarders have access to additional activities including early morning swims and gym sessions, with opportunities for off‑site recreation and outdoor education. Remembrance Day is observed as a full‑school event each year.
