1. Book a campus visit or open house. Prospective families can tour classrooms and experience school life firsthand. A two-week trial visit is also offered—note you'll need to arrange insurance, meals, and a uniform for that period.
2. Complete your application. Parents must submit the official form along with health records, transcripts (if applicable), and pay the non-refundable application fee of THB 3,000.
3. Attend interviews and placement testing. Students from Grade 1 upward sit for placement assessments in English, Math, Thai, and Chinese. Parents are typically part of the interview process.
4. Await admission decision and placement. Admissions, with the principal, review results and school records before sending acceptance or decline notifications. Placement in language and grade level is finalized based on test results.
5. Complete enrollment and pay fees. Accepted students have 15 days to confirm enrolment and submit tuition and development fund payments. Mid-semester admissions will be prorated, and semester 1 fees apply for those entering in term 2.
TCIS maintains a waitlist when a grade level is full. All complete applications are placed in order based on application time. If a place becomes available, the school notifies parents, who then have 5 days to confirm and pay the current fees to secure the spot.
The school offers limited tuition discounts to families enrolling siblings, alumni children, or groups of 10+ new students (subject to Board approval).
Thai-Chinese International School (TCIS), located in Samut Prakan near Bangkok, offers an American curriculum with instruction in English, along with daily Thai and Mandarin classes from early years through Grade 12. Accredited by WASC and the Thai Ministry of Education, TCIS enrolls students from over 17 nationalities and supports trilingual learning as a core feature of its program. The school provides Advanced Placement (AP) courses in subjects such as Calculus, Biology, and Psychology during high school. Facilities include separate buildings for elementary, middle, and high school, plus a library, music rooms, science labs, and sports courts. A standout offering is TCIS’s After School Enrichment Program (ASEP), which includes Chinese calligraphy, hip-hop dance, watercolor painting, yoga, and additional language support in Japanese and Korean. With small class sizes and an average enrollment of under 700 students, TCIS emphasizes close student-teacher interaction while maintaining strong academic and language programs.
