TCIS is situated in Bangplee Yai, Samut Prakan Province, just southeast of central Bangkok, close to Suvarnabhumi Airport and the Mega Bangna shopping complex - an easy commute via major roads and near public transit links.
The school serves students from age 2 through Grade 12, divided into Early Years (Pre‑K), Elementary (Grades 1–4), Middle School (Grades 5–8), and High School (Grades 9–12).
TCIS is a non-profit, co-educational day school. It does not offer boarding.
The school provides an English Language Learner programme and small-group “push-in” support in homerooms, plus differentiation and acceleration options tailored to individual needs.
TCIS operates under an American-based curriculum and is accredited by the US Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), but it is an independent school with no direct affiliation to a specific country’s government.
There is no religious affiliation; TCIS is a secular institution.
The campus opens at 6:00 am (with supervision from 6:30 am), classrooms open at 7:10 am, and dismissal is at 3:10 pm. The school office and supervision end at 4:00 pm, and the campus closes by 5:30 pm.
TCIS operates a school bus service with structured pick-ups and drop-offs aligned to school hours; supervision for students runs until 4:00 pm, and those in extracurricular activities must be collected by 5:30 pm.
Thai-Chinese International School (TCIS), located in Samut Prakan near Bangkok, offers an American curriculum with instruction in English, along with daily Thai and Mandarin classes from early years through Grade 12.
