VERSO International School was created through a joint venture between U City plc—part of BTS Group Holdings—and Hong Kong’s Fortune Hand Ventures Ltd, with total investment valued at approximately 5 billion baht. Construction began in 2017 on a 168-rai site, and the school officially opened in August 2020, initially offering classes from Early Years 2 through Grade 8; Grades 9–12 were added the following year.
The campus was conceptually designed by innovation firm IDEO, and its four large O-shaped buildings later received a World Design Award. VERSO’s first graduation ceremony took place on 14 June 2024, where seven students graduated, securing over 50 offers from universities worldwide. A second cohort graduated in June 2025. As of its early years, the school was noted as one of the largest international school developments in terms of scale and investment in the Bangkok area.
The school community celebrates a variety of cultural and school-wide events throughout the year, including Loy Krathong, Songkran, VERSOlympics, Winter Fest performances, Spirit Week, and regular Coffee Mornings. These events bring families, students, and staff together and reflect the school’s diverse, inclusive atmosphere.
At VERSO, the parent group known as the VERSOnians plays an active role in the school community through volunteer efforts, organizing events, and contributing resources to enhance school initiatives. Regular Coffee Mornings provide opportunities for parents, Learning Designers, and visiting specialists to meet informally and share ideas. In addition, Spirit Week involves themed days that families help bring to life alongside learners and staff.
