The school offers an American curriculum from Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 12, grounded in research-based standards including the Common Core State Standards (for English and mathematics), Next Generation Science Standards, WIDA (for English language learning), ISTE (for technology), and National Core Arts Standards. Lower grades focus on core subjects such as English Language Arts, mathematics, science, and social studies, along with electives in world languages, the arts, music, design technology, and physical education. The school incorporates project-based learning (PBL) and social-emotional learning (SEL) throughout grade levels to support student development. In Middle School, students continue with subject-specific instruction and work with advisors for academic and personal support. High School students complete a four-year college preparatory program, earning an American high school diploma and optionally enrolling in Advanced Placement (AP) courses, including the AP Capstone sequence (AP Seminar and AP Research). Counseling and advisory services support university preparation in English-speaking institutions.
XCL American School of Bangkok (Sukhumvit) serves students aged 2 to 18 in Pre‑K through Grade 12. Established in 1983, it offers an American curriculum aligned with Common Core and Next Generation Science Standards, and in high school a wide Advanced Placement (AP) programme including AP Capstone with over 20 AP courses available. Located on Sukhumvit Road near BTS Thong Lor and Phrom Phong stations, the school has classrooms, science labs, media centre, library, swimming pool, sports complex, gym and music studios. Project‑Based Learning and Social‑Emotional Learning are integral across grade levels.
