The American School of Bangkok (ASB) was established in 1983. It began as a small school and has grown over the years into a fully accredited international school. ASB is privately owned and licensed by Thailand’s Ministry of Education. The Sukhumvit campus, one of its two locations, has been developed with a strong emphasis on academic programs and university preparation. ASB is now operated under the XCL Education group.
The ASB Sukhumvit campus hosts a variety of cultural and community events throughout the year. These include celebrations such as Songkran, Chinese New Year, Halloween, and International Day, bringing together students, parents, and staff. The school also organizes academic showcases and performances that reflect the diverse cultural backgrounds of its student body.
ASB has an active Parent Teacher Association (PTA) that regularly engages in organizing school-wide events. The PTA helps coordinate community celebrations, charity drives, and holiday festivals. It plays a key role during events like the Winter Carnival and International Day. Parents also volunteer at school functions and provide support for classroom and extracurricular activities. The PTA serves as a bridge between parents and school leadership to enhance the overall school experience for students.
