The cafeteria menu is updated weekly and published every Friday for the upcoming week. Elementary students have hot lunch and salad options daily; secondary students can choose from hot lunch or a salad bar, with an all-day snack bar available. A coffee and snack shop near the parent entrance serves beverages and light items.
ACST is a private, independent school governed by a Board of Governors. The Board has nine members elected by the ACST Association; five must be U.S. citizens, and there are two non-voting members: a teacher's representative and a representative appointed by the U.S. Ambassador to Tunisia. The Board hires the Superintendent and oversees fiscal management, leadership, policy development, and mission fulfillment.
ACST is a private, independent K–12 school in Tunis that combines an American curriculum with the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme for grades 11–12. Serving students from age 3 to 18, ACST follows a standards-based curriculum grounded in American education, with the K–10 program aligned to benchmarked standards and the DP Core: Theory of Knowledge, Creativity, Activity and Service, and the Extended Essay. The UbD framework guides daily targets and diverse assessments, including projects, products and performances. Languages offered include English, Arabic, French and German, and Tunisian Studies Trips enrich the local context. The 65-year-old school sits on a Laouina campus with five academic buildings, two gymnasiums, a 25-meter pool accessed through a U.S. Embassy partnership, a 450-seat theater, learning centers with libraries and media labs, and specialized design technology spaces. ACST offers Learning Support, Counseling, Athletics, and an after-school program, plus clubs like MUN, Robotics, drama, and service learning opportunities.
