Established in 1994, Greenhill Schools began as a single primary school and expanded into a multi-campus network in Kampala. Greenhill International School (GIS) is part of this network and offers the Cambridge International Curriculum to learners aged 4 to 15. GIS operates across Buwaate, Kansanga, and Kibuli campuses. The program blends Cambridge standards with Christian values in a Ugandan context. From nursery through international programs, Greenhill Schools provide education across multiple campuses.
Student wellbeing is central, with a pastoral care system supporting learners' emotional, social, and spiritual development. Assemblies, clubs, trips, and co-curricular activities enrich school life and foster confidence, leadership, teamwork, and empathy. The school offers clubs such as Football Academy, Music & Choir, Environmental Club, and Traditional Dance Troupe to celebrate sports, arts, environment, and culture. The Traditional Dance Troupe learns and performs Ugandan and African dances at cultural events and festivals.
The Parent Partnership & PTA fosters collaboration between families and the school. Education is most effective when school and home work together. The PTA strengthens relationships, supports school initiatives, and enables parent involvement through meetings, workshops, and school events. This structure promotes open communication between parents and GIS. The PTA plays an important role in supporting school initiatives and community engagement.
