Baseline tests screen new students in S.1 and S.2 to identify performance gaps and guide targeted support. When gaps are identified, interventions are applied and progress is monitored. Kisubi High School provides continuous professional development for teachers to sustain high instructional standards and aligns them with ministry guidance. Music, Dance and Drama form a holistic program with weekly lessons in a dedicated space. It focuses on building students' confidence and interpersonal skills and exposes learners to drama from Uganda and other cultures.
South Sudanese Association and Rwandese Association exist within Kisubi High School to engage students from different cultural backgrounds.
A wide range of activities includes football, netball, volleyball and rugby, plus indoor games such as chess and scrabble. Numerous clubs and societies are offered, including Educate, Interact, Coding, Science and Technology, Maths and Business, as well as debates, quizzes, talent shows and spelling bees.
Pastoral Boarding and Community Engagement oversees student welfare. The pastoral team focuses on general wellbeing, spiritual wellbeing across denominations with Sunday worship, mental/psychological wellbeing through a full-time counsellor, physical wellbeing through sports and meals, and social wellbeing through PSHE. The house system nurtures belonging and develops talents in music, dance, drama and debating, with inter-house events and life-skills training through the Ready for Work program.
Prefects are elected by students and teachers, forming a 33-member prefectorial body led by the head boy and head girl, with fortnightly meetings. The students' council is elected by classes, comprises 12 members, and also meets fortnightly to relay the students' voice to the administration.
Pastoral care covers multiple wellbeing domains, including general, spiritual, mental/psychological, physical and social wellbeing. There is interdenominational worship on Sundays, a school counsellor, nurses for health care, and coaches for co-curricular activities. PSHE and life-skills training support students' personal development and readiness for work.
