AGS is located in Al Zahiyah, Tourist Club Area, Abu Dhabi, UAE (P.O. Box 27161). It sits in the heart of the capital city, with easy access to major roads and city amenities. The campus serves about 1,080 students from around 50 nationalities.
AGS offers a continuous Pre-School to Grade 12 program. The elementary division runs from KGII to Grade 6, while middle and senior high cover Grades 7–12. The Nova Scotia curriculum is taught across all grades, with English as the primary language of instruction and subject options in French, Arabic, and Islamic Studies for Muslim students.

AGS provides a school guidance counsellor offering emotional, social, developmental, and academic support, plus post‑secondary planning and family coordination. School days run Monday through Thursday with start times at 7:45 a.m. for KG–Grade 12; KG–Grade 2 finish at 2:15 p.m. and Grades 3–12 finish at 3:15 p.m. On Fridays, both groups dismiss earlier at 11:35 a.m.
AGS provides bus transportation through Emirates Transport. Parents can choose a two-way or one-way service, with the transportation fee around 4,072 AED. Buses are supervised by certified bus monitors and meet Department of Transportation standards; real-time tracking is supported by the SALAMA School Enterprise Solution.
Application and assessment fees
- Entrance / assessment fee: AED 100 (payable on the assessment date; deductible from total tuition for enrolled students; non-refundable for unsuccessful applicants).
- Registration / deposit for new students: 20% of the annual tuition (payable to confirm a new place; deducted from the total tuition).
- Re-registration deposit for returning students: 5% of the annual tuition (payable to reserve a seat for the next academic year; applied toward tuition).

Other mandatory and one-time costs
- Transportation (school bus): ADEK-approved transportation fee AED 4,072 (two-way / one-way options available; charged separately and typically payable with the first instalment).
- Textbooks / resource charges: textbooks/resources are charged in the first instalment; exact resource/textbook amounts vary by year group and are invoiced with first instalment.
- Chromebook (one-time purchase): For Grade 7–12 students a one-time Chromebook cost of AED 2,150 (device purchased through the school).
- Uniform: School uniform is supplied through ZAKS (ZAKS store lists uniform items, sizing and prices; parents purchase uniforms from ZAKS).
- Other potential costs: external examination fees, optional enrichment/after-school activities, school lunches and some field trips are charged separately where applicable. These items are invoiced in addition to the annual tuition.
Refunds and withdrawal
- Withdrawal / refund rules: for newly registered students who withdraw after the published re-registration date a portion of the registration fee is retained and a portion refunded as set by the school's withdrawal policy; for re-registered students a portion of the re-registration fee may be retained if withdrawal occurs after the published date. Payment methods and charges
- Accepted payment methods: payments may be made in the Accounts Department by cash, cheque, e-transfer, or by credit card (credit card payments incur a service charge — 1% noted for card payments).
- Timing: the school's published schedule requires the first major instalment (including transport/textbooks where applicable) at the start-of-year instalment date (Aug 1 or the dates shown for the academic year in the school schedule), with subsequent instalments on Dec 1 and Mar 1 (dates and exact due-dates follow the schools published payment schedule).
