It's best to ask — circumstances can change at any time.
Al Rabeeh School was founded in 1979 by Jane Kadri, a British expatriate, as a private English-curriculum primary school in Abu Dhabi. By 2008 the school had grown to around 900 pupils, reflecting a growing demand for private English-medium education in the capital. A second campus, Al Rabeeh Academy in Mohammed Bin Zayed City, was established in 2017 as part of the long-standing Al Rabeeh education network. The school remains a private independent institution and is a member of the British Schools of the Middle East, reflecting its cross-border educational links. A leadership transition occurred in 2019 when a new principal joined the school.
Al Rabeeh School maintains strong home–school links through the Friends of Al Rabeeh (FOAR) parent group, which meets regularly. FOAR organizes activities such as daily parent reading, National Day Celebrations, and Book Week, and supports the My Identity Program, helping plan events to celebrate UAE culture and heritage. Regular coffee mornings are held to give parents opportunities to socialize and strengthen the community. Eco Council and Student Leadership programs are part of the school's learning community, engaging students in environmental initiatives and leadership roles.
Friends of Al Rabeeh (FOAR) is the school's parent group and functions similarly to a PTA, meeting regularly to discuss ideas and enrichment plans. FOAR coordinates with school leadership to develop enrichment activities and events, including daily parent reading, National Day Celebrations, Book Week, and UAE culture–heritage initiatives through the My Identity Program. Regular coffee mornings are organized to help parents socialise and strengthen the community around the school. The group publicly lists key events such as National Day Celebrations, My Identity Day, Charity Week, and Book Week as part of its aims to engage families in school life. Ms Maryam Alomari is the point of contact for FOAR (PRE) and can be reached at maryam.alomari@alrabeeh.sch.ae. The school is proud to be supported by an active parent community that values ongoing involvement.
