Al Salam Private School follows the English National Curriculum in the Early Years Foundation Stage, Primary, and Secondary for core subjects. Non-core subjects are taught with a blended approach of the National Curriculum and the Cambridge International Curriculum, adapted for the UAE. Core English, Maths and Science are aligned with the English curriculum, while MOE subjects such as Social Studies and Moral Education are delivered under MOE guidelines. A Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) policy supports digital literacy, and the school conducts regular internal and external benchmarking and checkpoint assessments with personalised learning plans for students of determination.
Arts and co-curricular learning include Art, Drama and Music, with French also taught in the Primary years. The Primary curriculum covers Art, Drama, Music and French, among other subjects, contributing to a broad and balanced educational experience. Extracurricular offerings after school include Karate, Ballet, Table Tennis, Chess, Drama, Music, Art, Gymnastics and Football, alongside other arts-oriented activities.
Arabic is taught under the Ministry of Education curriculum with Arabic A for native speakers and Arabic B for non-native speakers. FS1 and FS2 Arabic classes are combined to ease transition to primary. English as an Additional Language (EAL) support is part of the Inclusion framework. Islamic Education is delivered in line with MOE guidelines, with Qur'an and related topics incorporated into the curriculum.
After-school activities cater to diverse interests, including collaborations with partners like Yala Sports to expand programming. The school also supports student leadership and wellbeing through structured student life activities and clubs. The ASPS Student Council is a student-led body that organizes events and promotes social wellbeing and school spirit.
