The school delivers the English National Curriculum to children from Nursery (FS1) to Year 6. The curriculum combines the National Curriculum for England with UAE Ministry of Education requirements and includes English, Mathematics, Science, Arabic Language, Islamic Studies, Social Studies, Art, Computer Science, Geography, History, Moral Education, Music, and Physical Education, with French taught in Years 5 and 6. Assessment is continuous and varied, including Formative and Summative assessment, external summative assessments, annual external computerised tests, a phonics screening in Year 1, and UK SATs in Years 2 and 6. The school operates in state-of-the-art facilities and has been rated Good by ADEK after joining the Aldar Education family.
Art and Music are part of the primary curriculum. The school offers a broad range of co-curricular activities, including lunch-time options such as Percussion, Choir, Orchestra and Create Your Own Group for Years 3–6, and after-school clubs like Swimming, Netball, Football, Karate, Mindfulness, Yoga, Cooking, Crafts, and more, with external providers supporting some sporting clubs. The emphasis is on extending learning beyond the classroom to develop creativity and performance skills.
Arabic Language and Islamic Studies are part of the primary curriculum, with French taught in Years 5 and 6. The curriculum also includes Geography, History and Moral Education to provide local and global perspectives within the Abu Dhabi context.
Extra-Curricular Activities are an essential part of the school day. Lunch-time ECAs run for Years 3–6, and there are extensive internal and external after-school ECAs covering music, sport, environment, crafts, science, mindfulness and more.
The school is a community hub with a strong parent involvement through the Al Shohub Parent Association (ASPA). The local community can access school facilities outside school hours, including an auditorium, indoor gymnasium, indoor swimming pool and outdoor basketball court.

Pastoral care is reinforced by a dedicated safeguarding framework and support staff, and facilities such as an auditorium, indoor gym, indoor swimming pool and outdoor basketball court support wellbeing. In the Early Years, class sizes are kept small to foster individual development.
