Wellbeing is central to AIS Sharjah's learning. Switch4Schools is a whole-school program introduced in 2025–2026 that helps students understand and manage their emotions using a simple 'switch' framework, with regular check-ins and tailored strategies. URStrong supports social-emotional development. Stymie is an anonymous reporting system that empowers students to raise concerns. The Wellbeing Pillar Ambassadors lead initiatives to foster empathy, inclusion, and belonging, and the House System promotes friendship, teamwork, and school spirit. The School Clinic has on-site nurses and a qualified doctor to support health and wellbeing.
AIS Sharjah has an inclusive culture supported by a large multi-disciplinary team. On-Campus Therapies are available, including Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA), Speech and Language Therapy, and Occupational Therapy. ASDAN Life Skills Programme runs alongside mainstream classes to develop practical life skills and independence. The Oasis provides sensory rooms and specialist equipment to support therapy, regulation, and learning. Flexible learning pathways ensure every student receives targeted support while being challenged and included.

Safeguarding is at AIS Sharjah's heart. The Safeguarding and Wellbeing Team provides wraparound care for every student, ensuring physical and emotional safety. AIS collaborates with external professionals and agencies to strengthen provision. Staff, students, and parents participate in safeguarding and online safety training annually. Safe recruitment practices ensure staff are vetted before joining the AIS community. Safeguarding is woven through policies, assemblies, and the Wellbeing Programme.
Australian International School Sharjah offers the Australian Curriculum from Early Learning to Year 12, with Senior School (Years 10–12) following the Queensland Certificate of Education pathway. Students can access ATAR and Applied pathways, with English required and ATAR calculated by QTAC. The curriculum includes Arabic and Islamic Studies and Moral Education, with enrichment options such as the Duke of Edinburgh Award and the Curtin University Foundation Program; Engineering and Industrial Design are planned to be introduced in 2026/27. The campus supports learning, wellbeing, and inclusivity through age-appropriate classrooms, science labs, digital technology rooms, a library, music and drama spaces, a canteen, and the Oasis and sensory room for student wellbeing. Sports facilities include Primary and Secondary Gyms, Arfo Turf, a Multipurpose Field, Playgrounds, and a forthcoming Natural Grass Field. The co-curricular program features creative arts, sport, and leadership opportunities, alongside cultural events, service learning, and inclusion initiatives to engage with the broader community.
