Pastoral and social-emotional learning (SEL) at Belvedere British School Abu Dhabi is provided through a pastoral framework led by Form Tutors, the Assistant Heads of Upper School, and the Head of Upper School, in collaboration with the Inclusion Team and the School Counsellor when necessary.
The school conducts entry assessments of individual needs and provides inclusion support via an Inclusion Team and School Counsellor; it is not described as a specialist SEN institution.
EAL support is addressed through English language assessment at entry and booster sessions in English, when available.
Mental wellbeing is supported by the School Counsellor and the Inclusion Team as part of the pastoral framework.
