The school is operated by Bloom Education (Bloom Holding) in partnership with Brighton College UK, with a Board of Governors providing governance.
Brighton College Dubai describes its community as a genuine family, underpinned by curiosity, confidence and kindness, and embraces the cultural diversity of Dubai. The school maintains an active Old Brightonians alumni network that connects graduates with current pupils for mentoring and events. The campus hosts a range of community and cultural activities, including pupil-led initiatives such as the Wishing Tree for Dubai Cares and the school's TEDxBrighton College Dubai Youth event, as well as Ramadan-focused and other cultural programs. The school also runs Stay and Play sessions for early-years families to connect with the school community.
Friends of Brighton College Dubai (FOBC) started in 2019 with about seven parent members and has since grown to around 30 committee members with a team of volunteers supporting numerous events and initiatives. FOBC supports key school events such as International Day, Sports Days and Run for a Reason, and runs a second-hand uniform shop. It also organises events for pupils, including spooky discos, Senior cinema nights and regular book swaps, as well as events for parents such as coffee mornings and weekly padel sessions. The association continues to develop activity with planned events like quiz nights, a book club and termly fitness sessions. FOBC operates alongside a broader parent community structure reported by school guides, and is described as an active, elected parent group that engages in volunteer-led school life.
