Let the school know you're thinking of applying — they can share their prerequisites and help you through the process.
It's best to ask — circumstances can change at any time.
Uniforms are sold exclusively through Threads, the school's approved vendor. The uniform must be worn in school and while travelling to and from school, and at formal events; boys wear a tie and girls wear a scarf, with shirts kept tucked in. Shoes must be black leather, hoodies are not permitted, and there are rules on hair, jewellery, and labeling.
Slices provides the lunch service; Slices is a home-grown real food company focusing on fresh, wholesome meals. There is a cashless system: parents top up funds via the GEMS Connect app and students use their Slices Card to pay. A Slices parent café offers healthy dining and snack options for parents and visitors.
The school uses a house system with House Captains who promote school spirit and organise house events, fostering healthy competition and camaraderie. The student leadership programme also includes a Student Council, Prefects and Head Students, with leadership workshops, mentorship, and clubs.
The school is owned and operated by GEMS Education as part of the GEMS Founders School network. An agreement to operate GEMS Founders School – Dubai South with Dubai South was signed in May 2024, confirming GEMS Education as the campus governance provider.
GEMS Founders School Dubai South offers the National Curriculum for England, enriched with a distinctive focus on aviation, aerospace, logistics, and enterprise, reflecting its strategic location near Al Maktoum International Airport. The campus features an Innovation Hub equipped with a STEAM lab, encouraging students to engage in 3D printing, electronics, and design thinking. The curriculum places strong emphasis on practical application, bridging classroom learning with industry-relevant scenarios. Beyond core academics, students participate in programs like the Eco Club, Model United Nations, and robotics. Pastoral care is supported by the Establish-Maintain-Restore method, prioritising student wellbeing and strong family partnerships. Serving children from Foundation Stage through Secondary School, the campus includes specialized ICT labs, food tech spaces, and an indoor play area for early years. This environment ensures students gain both the technical knowledge and practical skills required for future careers.
