It's best to ask — circumstances can change at any time.
GEMS Jumeirah Primary School was founded in 1996. It began life in a villa with about 30 students. Founding Principal Dianne Wilton, who helped open the school with Sunny Varkey, established its early foundations. By its 25th anniversary in 2021, the school had grown to around 1,469 students from 71 nationalities and had developed a modern, purpose-built campus. The school operates within the GEMS Education network, receiving ongoing support from the group.
The JPS community is highly international, comprising families from over seventy nationalities and a strong emphasis on inclusive, values-driven learning. The school's DNA focuses on delivering an individualized experience within a global, multi-cultural environment and is supported by a stable senior leadership team. The JPS community engages beyond the classroom through alumni networks and broader school events that connect current students with former pupils and the wider Dubai community. The school also maintains active connections with families through ongoing communication and wellbeing initiatives.
GEMS Jumeirah Primary School has a very active Parent Teacher Association (PTA) that runs a range of activities and events throughout the year, including International Day, Pink Bake Sale, Santa Party, Spring Fair, Mother's Day, Father's Day, and End of Year Parties. Class representatives are a key route for parent involvement, and roles can be shared between parents to help welcome new families to the school. The Principal, the Senior Leadership Team, and a dedicated Parent Relations Executive (PRE) meet regularly with class representatives for coffee mornings to discuss topics and circulate information. The PTA coordinates volunteering opportunities and supports school life by fostering social connections within the JPS community. These activities reinforce a collaborative culture among families, staff, and students.
