The UIS offers a 21st-century education built on the CBSE framework and NCERT standards. English is the language of instruction. The curriculum emphasizes enquiry-based learning and project-based learning, with digital resources to support collaboration, thinking and communication. Project-based learning tasks provide problem-solving opportunities and aim to develop students' ability to think, collaborate and communicate.
The school offers music, elocution, recitation, debating, essay writing, dramatics, and art and craft (including paper craft, clay modelling, mural painting and origami) as extra-curricular activities. The arts program includes exhibitions and performances in music, painting and performing arts.
