Glendale International School Dubai opened on August 28, 2023, marking the start of its first academic session in Oud Metha. Jasmit Kang serves as the Founding Principal, guiding the school's early development. The school is part of Global Schools Foundation/Global Schools Group, a Singapore-headquartered not-for-profit network of schools. Global Schools Foundation was founded in 2002 and has grown to about 64 campuses across 11 countries, educating students from more than 70 nationalities. This network emphasizes leadership, character development, and high-quality international education.
Glendale's student body comprises more than 70 nationalities. Life at Glendale includes Wellbeing Hour and the School House System to support student wellbeing and a sense of belonging, with an active calendar of extra-curricular activities and an academic calendar. Parent voices on campus describe a family-like community and diverse friendships. Glendale participates in Global Schools Foundation events, including Founder's Day celebrations that highlight the group's history and values.
Public materials describe parent involvement through channels other than a stand-alone PTA. The Parent Referral Programme offers a AED 1,000 referral reward for introducing a new family. Parents connect with teachers and monitor progress via Toddle, a digital parent communication platform. Open Houses are regularly scheduled to invite families to visit Glendale and engage with staff and students. The School House System and Wellbeing Hour provide ongoing opportunities for families to participate in school life and student well-being. Public content such as School Stories and the Blog share parent experiences and community perspectives. In practice, Glendale supports active parent involvement through these channels and events rather than detailing a separate PTA.
