There is a wide range of activity, technology and academic clubs that run before and after school hours and on weekends. Activity clubs include English Drama and Debate, Art & Craft, Dance, Music, Quiz & General Knowledge, English Public Speaking, Science Club, Young Chef, Calligraphy, Reading Club, Lego Club, Yoga, Hindi Public Speaking, Aerobics, Abacus, Needlework and Environment Club. Tech clubs include Coding Club, Robotics and Formula 1 in Schools. Booster Clubs offer English, Math and Science enrichment for high achievers, while Curative Clubs provide extra guidance in Numerics, Hindi and Arabic.
Creative Arts are supported through extracurricular activities such as English Drama and Debate, Art & Craft, Dance, Music, Calligraphy, and Reading Club. Lego Club and Needlework foster hands-on creativity, while Computing and Coding clubs promote digital creativity. The school also runs exhibitions, Talent's Day and House Day, and hosts Photography club to nurture artistic expression. EXPO events showcase performances such as dance and drama productions, including examples from EXPO 2020.
Cultural Experience emphasizes cultural awareness and inclusivity through an inclusive curriculum. The school organizes UAE National Day celebrations, Indian Republic Day, Annual Day programmes and other cultural events to develop open-mindedness and aesthetic appreciation. Environment Club promotes environmental awareness through green activities. Heartfulness practice and Project One promote wellbeing and compassionate behavior among students, teachers and families. The Root cancer-awareness campaign, carried out with the Indian Cancer Society, supports wigs for marginalized women cancer patients, and Happiness Hub provides weekly social-emotional development sessions for younger students.
The school has a Student Council with roles such as Head Boy/Girl, Council Secretary and various prefect positions, organized by house. Student Council Members undergo leadership training and lead in cultural, sports and discipline areas. The council includes Prefects and secretaries responsible for discipline, cleanliness and wellbeing, fostering a motivated learning community and distributed leadership across the school.
Sport is a core part of student life, with well-planned games and PE during regular school hours. In addition to classes, there are before/after school and weekend sports clubs offering cricket, basketball, football, chess, table tennis, gymnastics, skating, swimming and tennis. The wellbeing program includes Heartfulness, yoga and meditation, as well as counselling and Positive Education to support mental and physical health.
Indian High School Dubai is a not-for-profit day school operating at three campuses in Oud Metha, Al Garhoud and Dubai Silicon Oasis, serving students from age 3 to 18. The school follows the CBSE curriculum, aligned with MOE guidelines, with Arabic, Islamic Education and UAE Social Studies integrated where relevant. Optional electives include French, Computer Applications and Artificial Intelligence from grade 8, and Senior Secondary offers 21 subject combinations with career guidance and counselling.
