Mamoura British Academy began in 2007 as a single 247-student facility. It is part of Aldar Academies, the Aldar Education network that now operates seven academies including Mamoura. The school follows the English National Curriculum and aligns with the UAE Ministry of Education framework, with English as the language of instruction. It is accredited by British Schools Overseas (BSO). The academy serves students from Nursery to Year 13, with co-educational provision in the early years and girls-only education from Year 10 to Year 13.
Mamoura British Academy defines its community as ‘ourmamoura', with a focus on collaboration, leadership, and creativity. Parents describe it as a family-like community with strong relationships between leadership and the global community. The sustainability effort is led by pupil ambassadors, organizing recycling challenges and promoting green practices, including hydroponic gardens and partnerships with farms. The campus includes learning spaces such as a biodome, the Fairytale Kingdom, and the Heritage Village that support hands-on learning and cultural exploration.
Mamoura British Academy engages parents primarily through a dedicated Parent Relations Executive (PRE) who coordinates school visits, information sessions, and ongoing communications. Open days and tours are available regularly, and PRE contacts families to arrange visits; parents can reach the PRE at PRE@mamourabritishacademy.ae. New families receive Welcome Packs to help them settle in, and they can access Aldar's Rewards by Aldar through the parent experience channels. A central resource for parents is the Parent's Experience Centre (PEC) at the Aldar Education Office in Yas Mall, which provides information and guidance; Aldar's Experience Hub also supports parent engagement.
