1. Age placement and eligibility. Entry ages align with year groups as of 31 December of the entry year: FS1 (3 years); FS2 (4 years)/KG1; Year 1 (5 years)/KG2; Year 2 (6 years); Year 3 (7 years); Year 4 (8 years); Year 5 (9 years); Year 6 (10 years); Year 7 (11 years); Year 8 (12 years); Year 9 (13 years); Year 10 (14 years); Year 11 (15 years); Year 12 (16 years); Year 13 (17 years). Children enrolling for Foundation Stage 1 in Dubai must be three years old by December 31 of that year. This mapping continues through Year 13, with Year 13 corresponding to age 17.
