RAK Academy Al Rams is the northernmost campus of the RAK Academy group, located on Al Rams main road in Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates. The school delivers a British Primary curriculum for children aged 3 to 11, with Early Years adopting a bilingual English-Arabic approach and a low adult-to-child ratio. Application Fee

- A non-deductible application fee of AED 500 is payable upon initial application. The school cannot conduct the initial assessment until this fee is paid; the application fee is non-refundable if a place is offered and the place is not accepted.

- Registration fees are payable to secure a seat and are deducted from the first term's tuition invoice. Amounts:

Billing schedule and payment terms

- Parents/guardians receive a personalized invoice before each term; termly tuition invoices are due two (2) weeks before the start of each term. Students whose Term 1 fees are unpaid by the due date will be declined access to the classroom.

- Discounts and deductions:
- A 5% discount applies when the full year's tuition is paid by the Term 1 due date.
- A 3% discount applies when Term 2 and Term 3 fees are paid by the Term 2 due date.
- The Al Rams campus receives a special 5% discount applied against the DOK Approved Annual Fee (shown above).
- Sibling discounts: 3rd child 15% of tuition; 4th child 20%; 5th child or more 25%.

- Consequences of non-payment: late or unpaid fees may result in withholding of reports, references or examination results, loss of the student's place, and temporary or permanent exclusion. Parents are encouraged to contact the Finance Department if experiencing payment difficulties.

Boarding

- Boarding is not applicable for RAK Academy Al Rams. The Al Rams campus provides day primary education (Pre-K to Grade 5).

Other costs and optional services

- Uniform: All students must wear the school uniform; uniforms are purchased by parents through the school-approved uniform provider.

- Transportation: Bus transport is an optional service provided by an external bus operator and is paid to that operator directly.

- Canteen and external clubs: Canteen services and any external paid clubs/activities are paid directly to the respective operators.

- Examination fees: Tuition fees do not include fees for external examinations (e.g., IGCSE, A-levels, IB). Examination fees are billed separately for the relevant grades. (Al Rams serves Pre-K to Grade 5; external examination charges apply at the appropriate secondary grades elsewhere in the academy.)

Refund information and withdrawal deductions

- Application fees: non-refundable when a place is offered and not accepted.

- Registration fees: refundable provided a written withdrawal application is submitted to Admissions at least two (2) weeks before the start of the new academic year; refunds for extenuating circumstances (for example family relocation) may be considered with supporting documentation.

- Tuition refund schedule (per term, based on withdrawal request date):
- If the student was enrolled for two weeks or less: one month's fees will be deducted from any refund.
- If the student was enrolled for between two weeks and one month: two months' fees will be deducted.
- If the student was enrolled for over one month: the full-term fees will be deducted.

- Refund processing: the refund process takes a minimum of 22 working days from receipt of the complete signed withdrawal form and supporting documents; bank charges apply to refunds.

Social and Emotional Learning (SEL)

Positive Education Curriculum is embedded in daily practice to support students' well-being. Pastoral care, coaching, and teaching underpin the approach. Special Educational Needs (SEN)

An upper primary specialist support programme ensures students are fully supported to transition to Khuzam Secondary. Bespoke learning programmes meet the needs of all learners. The primary curriculum is delivered with a British Curriculum pathway adapted to its context. Highly skilled and passionate teachers ensure that the needs of all learners are met through engaging lessons and a clear pathway of learning for success. The upper primary programme supports a smooth transition to secondary education, coordinating with Khuzam Secondary for a seamless handover.

English as an Additional Language (EAL)

Early Years uses a bilingual approach in English and Arabic. This bilingual approach supports language development, as well as mathematical and scientific understanding. The Early Years programme emphasises active, play-based learning to build language skills. The adult-to-child ratio in Early Years is world-class. Early Years teachers are highly qualified to support language development and early learning.

Mental Wellbeing
