Admissions

1. Inclusive admissions policy. The school provides access to quality educational provision, a caring and supportive environment, and equal opportunity for all children. The school follows an inclusive admission policy and accepts children without discrimination of gender, religion, race, sexuality or disability. Admission decisions are made after the required and fully completed documentation is received.

2. Documents and attestation. The admission forms require: copy of the student's passport with a valid UAE visa; copies of both parents' passports with valid UAE visas; six recent photographs of the child (6x4 cm); a birth certificate in English or Arabic; a copy of the original mark sheet of the last examination passed at the previous school; a copy of the vaccination card. For students seeking admission to Grade 2 and upwards, the original Transfer Certificate/School Leaving Certificate must be supplied in English, duly attested per guidelines. For transfers from outside the UAE, the Transfer Certificate must be verified by the Education Officer of the issuing entity, the Education Officer's seal/signature must be attested by the Indian Consulate in Dubai, and the External Affairs Ministry of the UAE must attest it. For transfers from Emirates other than Ras Al Khaimah, the Transfer Certificate must be attested by the Ministry of Education of that Emirate. For Gulf countries other than the UAE, the Transfer Certificate should be attested by the UAE Consulate/Embassy located in that country.

3. Age guidelines. For KG2 admission, the child must be 5 years old by 31 March. For Grade 1 admission, the child must be 6 years old by 31 March.

4. Medical details. The school requires a valid health card and immunization in line with health authorities. If vaccination cards are not available, vaccination is provided based on prior medical records, and the vaccination details must be attached to the Medical Dossier and submitted to the nurse at the time of admission.

5. Screening and assessment. Placement is based on a report from the child's previous school, including age, documents, and academic standards, and the student must be able to remain in the country. An assessment for students with SEND may be conducted by a member of the Inclusion Team. For incoming Students of Determination, measures are used to assess needs and provide appropriate provisions. KG students are assessed in a group environment to consider social abilities and school readiness.

6. Withdrawal and transfer. There is a withdrawal form available with the Registrar/Reception. Parents should give at least one month's notice when applying for the Transfer Certificate or School Leaving Certificate. On collection of the Transfer Certificate, parents should collect the child's Medical Record from the school ward.
