Let the school know you're thinking of applying — they can share their prerequisites and help you through the process.
It's best to ask — circumstances can change at any time.
1. Enquire now. Complete the online enquiry form to begin the enrolment process. The admissions team will call you within one working day. This contact confirms your interest and outlines the next steps in the admissions journey.
2. Visit us. Book a personalised campus visit. The visit is led by the Admissions Team and Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and provides the opportunity to experience life at Star International School, Al Twar and to ask questions.
3. Assessment. Our assessments are free of charge. EYFS and Key Stage One are assessed by the Phase Leader; Key Stage Two and Secondary require a CAT4 test followed by an admissions meeting with the Phase Leader. For overseas families, online assessments can be arranged to reserve seats, and the Head of Inclusion may be involved to assess additional needs if required.
4. Offering a place. Upon successful completion of the assessment, an offer letter is issued detailing the next steps. Places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to the recommendations of the Head of School and the Principal. The year group is determined based on KHDA guidelines and the school's academic assessment, and parents have five working days to accept.
5. Enrolment. An offer letter is accepted and a child is enrolled after paying the registration deposit of 1000 AED and the application fee of 500 AED. This amount is not refundable per KHDA rules and is adjustable against term one fees, unless the family leaves Dubai or UAE.
6. Registration. After enrolment, the registrar will follow up to complete the full registration form, collect all required documents and complete KHDA registration. All documents must be in English or have a certified translation.
Places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis; no separate waitlist is described in the admissions materials.
