The Millennium School, Dubai is part of the GEMS Education group. It was founded in 2000 with 40 students and 11 teachers. Today it serves over 2,800 students with about 167 teachers, including special educators and counsellors. It is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and is a member of the Round Square network, with a Self Enhancement Programme. The school has sustained a Very Good rating from the Dubai Schools Inspection Bureau for multiple years.
The Millennium School supports an active community through a Student Council and a four-house system that fosters leadership and teamwork. Community events include the Wellbeing Festival in 2023, as well as cultural Confluence activities and UAE national celebrations. The school also participates in in-house celebrations of important UAE days such as National Day and Flag Day.
The school's Parent Care Group is a body of parent representatives from each grade who support the school in moving forward. The Parent Care Group meets monthly with the Senior Leadership Team to discuss school systems, processes, activities, and resources and to share parent perspectives. There is also a Parent Focus Group, with a representative from each grade, that meets monthly with the Head of Section to discuss teaching and learning matters. Parent volunteers play a significant role in school life, assisting with substitutions and coordinating events such as Healthy Food Week, the Winter Carnival, exhibitions, and Pink Day. The Parent Care Group emphasizes collaboration between parents and the school to support student learning and well-being.
