The Sheffield Private School uses the English National Curriculum, organized into five Key Stages. Foundation Stage (FS1–FS2) follows the UK Early Years Foundation Stage framework, and Primary Stage (Years 1–6) delivers a broad core based on the National Curriculum for England with Arabic, Islamic Studies (for Muslim students), Social Studies, and Moral Education. The Secondary Phase (KS3–KS4) leads to IGCSEs and BTECs, and the Sixth Form offers AS and A Levels or BTEC qualifications. The school emphasises inclusion with a community representing over 60 nationalities and supports the UAE National Agenda, complemented by an Ultra-Curriculum for enrichment beyond academics.
Arts and creative activities are embedded through house competitions in arts, music, and drama. The Ultra-Curriculum adds enrichment with STEAM and project-based learning, and events such as TEDx, providing opportunities for creative expression beyond the classroom.
Arabic is taught and Islamic Studies (for Muslim students) are part of the curriculum, alongside Social Studies and Moral Education. The school community includes more than 60 nationalities, reflecting the diversity of the UAE.
The Ultra-Curriculum provides a wide enrichment program including student-led activities and clubs. Students participate in ASAs such as robotics, chess, and board games, and engage in STEAM projects and student-led initiatives. The program also encompasses leadership development and collaborative projects beyond the standard timetable.
Leadership roles include UAE Ambassador, Media Champion, and Mental Health Ambassador, with a dedicated badging ceremony. The Duke of Edinburgh's Award (DOFE) supports resilience and service, and the TSPS Young Leaders Award fosters personal growth through community, environment, travel, and expedition challenges.
A British-style House System assigns students to Leopards, Falcons, Leatherbacks and Scorpions, with House Captains and regular competitions across sports, arts, music, drama, quizzes, and debates. Leadership opportunities extend through the DOFE program, the Media Champion and UAE Ambassador roles, and formal pathways such as the TSPS Young Leaders Award and a Career Guidance Programme.
The enrichment program includes a Physical Activities and Sports program with netball, cricket, football, basketball, yoga, and dance, supported by facilities and coaches. Wellbeing is supported by Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) and dedicated wellbeing activities, plus sensory integration sessions to aid students with sensory needs. The program emphasizes teamwork, resilience, and a long-term commitment to physical and mental health.
