The school teaches English as the primary language of instruction and offers additional language study in Chinese, French, German, and Spanish. Language options span beginner to advanced levels in the MYP and DP, with pathways to bilingual or multilingual IB Diplomas. After-school language clubs provide heritage language development in Arabic, Dutch, Korean, Russian, Portuguese, Farsi, and Turkish.
AIS offers bilingual and multilingual pathways across the IB continuum. In the Early Learning Center (3K–4K), families choose from four full language immersion programs: Chinese, French, German, or Spanish. In the Primary Learning Center (5K–Grade 5), instruction is in English plus one other language (Chinese, French, German, or Spanish), with a 70% English / 30% Chinese balance in the Chinese program and a 50% English / 50% balance in French, German, and Spanish. The Middle Years Program provides opportunities to learn at least one additional language and may include two, and the Diploma Program offers options to pursue bilingual or multilingual IB Diplomas.

Atlanta International School is a private, nonprofit IB World School serving 3K through Grade 12 with campuses in Buckhead and Sandy Springs. The school offers the full IB continuum (PYP, MYP, DP) and the Career-related Programme, alongside full and dual-immersion language initiatives to develop multilingual proficiency. AISx Flexible Schedule supports Grades 6–12 with in-person or remote options while maintaining IB coursework. Language study includes Chinese, French, German and Spanish, with English as an Additional Language support and heritage language offerings. The Sandy Springs campus, opened in 2024, features Mouratoglou Tennis Academy Atlanta, a riverfront site, residential facilities, and a Great Hall, River House, and a quad. It houses four tennis courts and extensive outdoor recreation. The school emphasizes hands-on learning through Makerspaces, science labs, design studios and an art loft, with a library. The program includes Global and Experiential Learning and Creativity, Activity, Service as part of the IB framework.
