- The school uses Blackbaud Tuition Management (BBTM) for parent invoicing and payment processing; families may also arrange to pay the school directly by cash or check through School Accounting if preferred. Electronic card payments incur a convenience fee; ACH or online check payments do not carry an extra fee. Invoices are generated and sent by email around the 25th of each month and are due the 15th of the following month. You have 20 days from invoice receipt to dispute the invoice with School Accounting; after 20 days the invoice is considered final and the full amount becomes due and subject to any service charges. Late fees begin at USD 50 per occurrence.

- A Tuition Insurance Plan is associated with installment payment options and is mandatory for monthly installment plans; details and any premium are managed through the school's tuition management arrangements.

Notes on billing mechanics and timelines

- To qualify for the Early Tuition Rate families must return the fully signed Enrollment Contract together with the USD 1,000 deposit by the published early-deadline dates (returning families and new families have different deadlines). There is a See Something, Say Something program that enables anonymous reporting of bullying or other inappropriate behavior, with an anonymous reporting form and timely review, and an Anti-Bullying Policy in place.

Special Educational Needs (SEN)

DIS uses an inclusive approach to education, removing barriers to learning and collaborating with families to ensure every student receives the support they need within available resources. Upon admission, the school takes responsibility to meet learning needs and provide access arrangements. The school aims to foster cultural understanding, personal safety, and emotional well-being within an inclusive learning environment. The Exceptional Learner Program differentiates teaching to address diverse needs, and may provide accommodations such as an enrichment program, cross-grade placement, or curriculum acceleration.

English as an Additional Language (EAL)

Safeguarding

The anonymous reporting form does not capture emails to protect confidentiality, and reports are reviewed promptly and acted upon as necessary. There is an Anti-Bullying Policy that guides responses and maintains a safe school environment. The DIS community is encouraged to report concerns to trusted staff members, and safeguarding practices are anchored in the DIS Core Values.
