English is the language of instruction across all academic programs at EF Academy New York, including the US High School Diploma, AP, and IB Diploma Programme. The school supports multilingualism with Prep and English as an Additional Language (EAL) programs, push-in support in mainstream classes, and exit criteria based on WIDA assessments. World languages offered include IB Chinese Language & Literature SL/HL, IB German Language & Literature SL/HL, IB Korean Language & Literature SL/HL, IB Spanish Language & Literature SL/HL, IB French Language & Literature SL/HL, IB Self-Taught Language A Literature, and US High School language courses in French, Spanish, and German. Students may maintain home languages and translanguaging is supported; entry assessments include Duolingo English Test, TOEFL, IELTS, or EIKEN.

EF Academy New York is a high school set on a 97-acre Thornwood campus near New York City, welcoming students from 60+ nationalities. The school offers an American high school diploma with the option to pursue the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme or individual IB/AP courses, allowing students to tailor their schedule to their goals. With daily mentorship and a 24/7 care team, advisers design personalized pathways toward graduation in a hands-on, student-centered environment. The campus supports immersive learning through field studies, collaborative projects, and small classes in modern science labs and flexible classrooms.
