A centerpiece is the Internship Institute, which lets students explore a career area, develop workplace skills, apply new knowledge, and strengthen English and native-language abilities through real-world experience. Founded in 2004, FIHS serves recent immigrants and emphasizes bilingual language growth alongside academic development. The school houses 440 students from 40 countries who speak over 20 languages.
