The IB Primary Years Programme (IB PYP) is offered as part of FAIS's bilingual, dual-curriculum program. Instruction is split 50/50 between French and English in a full-immersion setting taught by qualified native-speaking teachers. FAIS is an official IB World School and the first French-bilingual IB World School in Florida. The IB framework emphasizes inquiry-based, transdisciplinary learning to build conceptual understanding across subjects.
Enrichment courses include Art, Art History, Music (Chorus and Piano), Computer Technology, Foreign Languages, and Physical Education. Weekly enrichment courses are offered. The enrichment program provides opportunities for artistic exploration as part of the FAIS curriculum.
After-school French classes for kids of all ages and CNED classes for middle-schoolers are open to the public. FAIS offers French as a Foreign Language (FLE) and FLAM programs for children. Spanish is introduced as a third language. The curriculum is bilingual with 50 percent instruction in French and 50 percent in English.
FAIS offers a wide array of after-school clubs, both in French and/or English, including Karate, Soccer, Dance, Music (Piano), Drama, STEM Engineering & Robotics, and Chess. Children can play outside and participate in indoor activities such as arts and crafts. Study Hall is available for homework help in the after-care program.
Before-School Program is available from 7:30 AM until school begins, with indoor activities such as drawing, reading, and quiet play. The After-School Program provides supervised activities and includes Study Hall, with a bilingual teacher on site for one hour after school Monday-Thursday to help with French or English homework. Children have opportunities to play outside and enjoy supervised recreation as part of FAIS's daily rhythm.
French American International School of Boca Raton is a private, non-sectarian, co-educational bilingual school serving primary and middle school students. It offers a dual-curriculum model that integrates a French curriculum aligned with the French Ministry of Education and an American curriculum taught in English to meet Florida standards.
